Obituary: Vivian Greer Capps of Arvada passed away September 1, 2008 at Collier Hospice Center at the age of 90. She had lived independently in her home until Aug. 27, 2008. Vivian was born November 14, 1917 in Grover Hill, Ohio to Plenna and Myrtle Clear. She moved to Waterville, Ohio with her family in 1925 where she attended Waterville school. Vivian worked for the American Legion Post 161 in Arvada and was in the Ladies Auxiliary for over 30 years. She is survived by her son Grover Greer of Hendersen; daughters Pauline Rassman of Ill., June Tillquist of Peyton, and Kathryn Ives of Lakewood; 24 grandchildren; 32 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren. Brothers Calvin Clear, Plenna Clear, Jr and a sister Edna Cordy all of Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sons Eugene (1972) and Phillip (1992) Greer; two brothers Ralph and Doyle Clear and one sister, Verneda Drain. Funeral services were Sept. 5, 2008 at Aspen Mortuaries Arvada Chapel. Interment at Arvada Cemetery. - Denver Post, September 3, 2008
