Children of Clarence Raymond Clear:

Ray and Margaret had no children. However, this was Ray's third marriage. His fiirst wife, Bessie Moore, had two sons of her own before she married Ray. Together, Ray and Bessie had a son, but he died in infancy - likely with his mother. The baby is buried in Munger, Mich.

Ray's second wife was Jessie Lillian Taylor. They had a daughter, Florence Ruth Clear. She was born June 24, 1916 at the home of her grandparents, William Henry and Emma Medora Clear. A few years later, on May 11, 1920, Ray and Jessie also had a son die in infancy. His name was Earl Edward Clear, and he lived for just a few weeks in 1920. He's buried in Hebron Township Cemetery in Cheboygan, Michigan. (View Headstone)

Memory: "Florence's maternal grandfather, George Taylor, lived just west of where Henry and Emma Clear lived - on the same road, perhaps just a quarter of a mile. George Taylor was father to Jessie Lillian Taylor-Clear, Gladys Taylor, and Carl Taylor. (Carl married Alice Forgette, a sister to Forna Clear's wife, Artie Forgette.) Florence made her home with Grandpa Henry and Grandma Emma after her mother died. She stayed until Grandma Emma died in 1934. On December 23, 1936, she married Earl Leroy Hoover in Chelsea, Michigan, and together they had five children. " - Julie Clear Coleman
